I was born on 8 May 1971 in Namur in Belgium. I am a little boy who is a dreamer, absent-minded and rather clumsy. At the age of 10, I started reading an Agatha Christie novel. I stopped after 10 pages to write the rest. When I was a teenager, I loved buying old typewriters on which I pretended to type novels. At the age of 18, I decided to study romance philology and then journalism, because these seemed to be the studies that would best prepare me for the profession of writer. What followed taught me that the contrary was true! I had to unlearn everything I had learned. After my studies, I systematically sent off a load of comic book projects that were refused by all the publishers. I became a French teacher. I did drama within the framework of my studies and it was love at first sight! I started acting and writing for theatre almost day and night. I stopped being a teacher to become a professional actor and playwright. Then, the desire to write comic books returned and I published a few short stories in Spirou. My confidence grew and a great many projects started to take shape. Denis Lapière opened the doors to his new collection. Nowadays, I am an adult dreamer, absent-minded and rather clumsy (which is somewhat tiresome for my wife), who has the luck to act in the theatre at night and make up stories during the day.
