Originally published in 1955 as part of EC’s ‘New Direction’ range, Psychoanalysis lasted for only four issues and is here reprinted in a prestige format by Dark Horse. Despite some strong story-telling, excellent art from Jack Kamen and dense scripting from Robert Bernstein, the individual episodes are more intriguing as a reflection on an uncertain period for the medium and a commentary on how psychoanalysis, especially the Freudian model, appeared to capture the imagination of the USA in the...
