L'Incroyable histoire du vin

(2)

‘‘Parbleu, c’est fascinant, l’histoire du vin! Gros ouvrage plein d’info, présentée clairement et simplement, une conte pour les œnophiles très amateurs, comme moi : ) On y apprend l’histoire biblique (le patriarche Noé, après avoir descendu de l’arche, aurait planté la vigne en premier,...‘‘ Lire la suite

‘‘David Rubin’s art is even better than before, and some of the two page spreads are amazing (and, yes, I liked his references to video games, art history and pop culture). ‘‘(Are you a hardcore Harry Potter fan? Ignore my review and just read this book. You’ll love it.) This book seems shojo. It isn’t. It’s a fantasy saga for everyone, even if the heroine is a very young girl. She lives in a world full of magic, but magic is prohibited to her. She has a...‘‘ Lire la suite

T 2 Swan Song

‘‘Taking the Hill 108 petition to Paris is a task almost as bloody and definitely more horrific than fighting in the trenches - because this time our group of veteran soldiers are fighting their own comrades. “If Just One Listens” is the glorious, yet sad and sobering finale of “Swan Song”....‘‘ Lire la suite

‘‘It’s April 1917, and the war has raged in Europe for three years now. Both the Germans and the French are huddled in their trenches, and pushing the frontline by even a few meters is suicide.
